Light Bulbs

Q. How many electricians does it take to change a light bulb?

A. It’s a lamp

You may have been told by an electrician, “it’s not a bulb, it’s a lamp”.

Or have you ever heard someone say “bulbs grow, lamps glow?”

It’s a common misconception stemming from the shape of the GLS shape lamp (the common household “bulb” shape). But when it was patented by Thomas Edison in 1880, it was actually patented as an electric “lamp”.

Alto were recommended to me and I would recommend again. The electricians were very helpful and knew exactly what I needed. They were friendly and respectful and did a wonderful job. Nothing was too much trouble and I’m delighted with the end result. Thank you Alto.
